Mrs Kerri Doy, International Student Programme Director
Mrs Doy has been working at Geraldine High School since 2007. She is trained as a Japanese language teacher but also takes the Outdoor Education classes on the school’s high ropes. While still at high school she went to Japan as an international student and stayed on; she graduated from a Japanese university. While living in Japan she studied with students from many different countries.

Mrs Doy is responsible for the welfare and well-being of the international students at Geraldine High School. She helps them settle into the school routine and makes sure they are prepared for their lessons. Where possible she assists with any extra activities outside of school that will help them fit in with their new lives in Geraldine. Once their lessons progress Kerri Doy monitors every student’s progress and helps both the teachers and students with study material. Kerri assists with the home stay families to help make the students’ homes in New Zealand supportive and caring ones.
