Supporting Student and Whānau Wellbeing at Geraldine High School
At Geraldine High School, our Hauora Hub is here to support the wellbeing of our students and their whānau. Our team includes a School Counsellor and a Youth and Whānau Mentor, working together to promote a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where all students can thrive.
Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, need someone to talk to, or want to strengthen connections at school or at home, we’re here to help. We can work alongside you in a range of ways – through one-on-one conversations, small group sessions, whānau meetings, or simply by checking in when needed.
We can support you with:
- Emotional wellbeing and mental health
- Building positive relationships
- Managing stress, anxiety or change
- Family or whānau support
- Goal-setting and self-confidence
- Connecting with community services
- Any other applicants
Our services are:
- Free for all Geraldine High School students and their immediate whānau
- Flexible – available in-person, or through phone
- Confidential
We also work closely with a range of local agencies and can help connect you with additional supports if that’s helpful. You don’t need to be in crisis to reach out – sometimes a small conversation can make a big difference. If you’d like to talk with us or find out more, feel free to get in touch or drop by the Hauora Hub.
